Canon EOS 550D is similar to the canon EOS 500D in terms of design.The body is light yet comes with tough polycarbonate plastic on the steel chassis.The dimensions are 128.8 x 97.3 x 62mm. the EOS 550D comes with 18.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and 1080p HD video recording and has the sharpest monitor as compared to the existing DSLR cameras.The camera is an advanced mid-range and is focused on the experienced amateur photographers.It is equipped with a wide range of shutter speeds that is from 30 seconds to 1/4000th.The camera is easy to use and comes with nine pre-sets which can be individually tailored according to the special needs of the users.
The Canon EOS 7D comes with an 18 megapixels and the LCD size is 3 inch with 30 to 1/8000 shutter speed.The EOS 7D is designed for speed and comes with dual DIGIC 4 chips so as to speed the processing of the 14 bit files.The dimensions are 5.8 x 4.4 x 2.9 inches and the weight is just 33.3 ounces. The new feature included are the electronic level, multi-function button, raw button and the 19 point autofocus system.
