I am searching for a lens to rent for my sister's graduation. The place that she'll be graduating from is going to be pretty dark except for the stage and I'm going to be way up in the balcony pretty far back, at least that's where I think I'll be. So I need a lens that will be sharp, fast, good zoom(something that you think will do perfect from my distance), and can handle low lighting pretty well. It's going to be for my Canon XSi.
I was thinking about renting:

Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
I'm not sure which one would be best for my situation so if you had any experiences with these lens, please share your knowledge and experience. If there's any other lens that you would recommend and any sites that will allow you to rent lens, please let me know.
