You can upgrade as you go along. In my enterprise I've moved on to Canon 5d's, Canon L series lenses and the whole shebang, but it didn't occur overnight. Although the gear could be comparable to other kinds of photography a single key distinction is the quantity of backup objects a wedding photographer has to have.
Backups
The most significant lesson that I can not pressure sufficient is to have backups of anything back again up cameras, back up lenses, back again up pcs, back up pictures, back up memory cards, back up anything. For the reason that while you could never need to have any of them, the one time you do not have a backup digital camera, your shutter will lock up and you will have just expense a bride and groom their pictures. Even with photographer's insurance coverage at this point you'd be difficult pressed to justify the failure to the insurance business, not to mention the bride and groom. I've had memory cards fail, difficult drives dropped, cameras lock up, photos deleted, and pcs crash. Photography Devices
If I was posting in a forum I'd get flamed for telling you this subsequent bit. When commencing off don't go out and purchase the top rated conclude digital camera gear. There are three different categories camera gear falls into. Consumer (ordinary joe), pro-sumer (avid hobbyists) and pro (for people today who do this for a residing). The difficulty is when you start out off in wedding ceremony photography you're not doing this for a living still. You're trying to do this for a residing. So reside within your usually means and obtain gear that will function for your price variety.
I started out with Rebel EOS XT cameras and while I wouldn't want to go back again to employing them I see absolutely nothing incorrect with them. Reduce your teeth learning on a Rebel EOS and you are going to be that much superior when you can pay for a 5D. When it comes to lenses there are lots of options, but if you're on a spending budget most Canon lenses won't be on your plate and that is ok. There are other lens makers out there that place out excellent solutions. I'm also only listing a workhorse lens and one fixed lens. I'm not heading to go into the telephoto lenses simply because in my view they aren't a requirement. I didn't get an individual for a year right until I could find the money for the Canon 70-200 IS L series lens. I'm also only listing Canon gear but if you are a Nikon fan the go for it. If the tube set is designed for Nikon F mount, it will at least mount on your camera, and allow either lens to be used. If it is for any other camera brand, then no, it will not work.
Kenko makes a basic tube-only set, and they make an auto set. The auto set has the electrical and focus motor connections that allow your lenses to autofocus and use auto aperture. So, it this the Nikon-mount auto tubes, then yes, your lenses will work just fine. If it is the manual tube set, you have to work completely manually.
Tubes change how a lens focuses, so you may not be able to use the entire range of your zoom lens. It may work just fine at, say, 105mm, but refuse to focus at anything shorter than 35mm. It depends on how much extension and actual focal length.
