Newest Released Canon Rebel - Canon T3i Review
If you are a photographer looking for an entry-level digital SLR, you waited just long enough!
Canon has answered your prayers with the Canon Rebel T3i. It is almost a year to the day after the T2i.
Canon releases a new Rebel about once every year or so.
Since you are in the market for a new camera, this is great news for you. Read on to find out what great things this new camera has to offer.
One thing it does not have is a new sensor, and this is something that has some folks wondering. History tells us that there should be a new and bigger sensor, since every Rebel released thus far has had a larger one. But don't you think the 60D and 7D produce terrific images? Yes, and they both have this exact same sensor. This means that if you get a T3i, you are virtually guaranteed the same high quality images as those who are shooting with those more expensive DSLRs.
But wait, there's more. Other stuff has not been upgraded. Here are the major ones:
- 18-MP CMOS sensor - not changed
- The DIGIC 4 processor is still the same.
- Kit lens - same 18-55mm lens
- ISO range from 100-6400 with expandable range to 12800 is the same as well.
- Video - unchanged from 1080P HD
- Continuous shooting rate - 3.7 frames per second, just like the T2i
Hold on! You must be wondering what is different, right? If all these things are the same, you should be able to save a few bucks and buy the T2i, right?
Just check out the new/upgraded features before you decide this is a waste of your time. The changes, while not earth changing, are valuable, none the less.
First and foremost, and this is a biggy. The Canon Rebel T3i has an articulating LCD screen, the same one as in the 60D. Photographers who take lots of video LOVE this feature.
Next up is something Canon is calling the "Green Square." It is a stop on the mode dial at the top of the camera body. This setting allows the camera to make creative adjustments for each shot. Point and shoot camera owners may be familiar with this if they have an "Intelligent Auto" setting on their camera. If you are at all confused about the settings for a particular shot, let the camera do the work and enjoy the benefits.
Third - Creative filters for in-camera editing. This new addition to the camera software saves you from having to upload the images to your computer to make changes. You can even create fish-eye effects with this new feature.
The fourth feature is also a huge one. The T3i is the first Rebel to have mode descriptions display on the LCD screen. You no longer have to remember what those silly little pictures mean. Now you can read a short description of the mode setting on the LCD screen. Gotta love this one.
Canon has taken steps to make this new Canon Rebel T3i just what the new digital DSLR owner needs.

Frequently Asked Questions...
what filter to get for a canon eos 550d ?
the lens is 18-55mm
please help !
how much are they approximately ?
and are they really needed ?
Answer:
I'm assuming you mean the size. Look at the front of the lens. You'll notice a series of numbers there.
one of them will read "58mm", that's the size you need. Every lens has that data printed there, it always means the filter size.
