A couple of questions about the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX VRII Lens?
I have a D5000 that came with a kit lens,18-55mm. I am thinking of buying a Nikon 18-200 mm lens instead of the Nikon 55-200mm to get that extra focal length and not have to keep switching lens around.
I'm asking because I can't find this lens at any store close to where I live to try it out!
Is this lens worth the money? $750.00
Will it be to heavy on the front of the D5000?
I plan use this lens and a Nikon 35mm f/1.8, that I have already purchased, when I move up to a better DX camera in the future D90 or D300, maybe a couple of years away. Then just sell the kit lens with the D5000 or keep it as a spare. The only other lens I might look at in the future is a wider angle lens. I only want to carry two lens, the 35mm and the 18-200mm. What are your thoughts about this lens and this lens combination?

Nikon 18-200mm is one of best all around lens. It can replace your 18-55mm and 55-200mm so you can sell your 18-55mm lens and I don't think it is too heavy.
If you are planning to carry two lens, Nikon 18-200mm is worth the money.
