Very good with the price
I bought this camera mostly for the zoom and the caliber of the lens you find for only around 190 bucks. This camera isn't going to have a RAW mode so this can be a point and shoot nevertheless it has many different features you would possibly find in professional SLR digital cameras that cost hundreds additional. If you know what you're doing, you can do loads of manual shooting. I'm not visiting give it a 3, 3, 4 out 5 because I don't' such as cheap plastic feel or maybe that it's too light or that we don't like the coloring, like some of another reviewers mentioned..How cares about you???I give it 5 stars because the quality of the pictures is great for what this camera is created for, it does delightfully.
Really Good Camera for that Money
I've been employing my Finepix S1800 pertaining to almost two weeks today, and I have to speak about that I'm truly pleased. Although Amazon's not about to like this, I didn't buy it from their store. I bought mine at a competitor at a lower price...Mine was reconditioned simply by Fuji, and came without neckstrap, lens cap, or maybe batteries. If you invest in it new, you acquire those items. Anyway, i obtained this camera because WHEN I couldn't afford a Nikon D5000. i might been using my film cameras, as well being a digital Olympus C-700, and felt ıt had been time to get something a lot better than the old Olympus. This Finepix suit you perfectly. It functions flawlessly, the lens seems not bad, and the software menus from the camera are a breeze to understand. The only gripe i have with the camera is that it doesn't do RAW format..I can live without it. The images I've shot are sharp in the least focal lengths, and the particular low light capabilities, particularly the built-in Infrared AF, are not bad, too. Oh, yeah, essentially the most exciting feature of this camera may be the Dual Image Stabilization. it has allowed me to find tack sharp shots at shutter speeds that will be impossible to get which has a 35mm SLR. I've shot handheld shots at more than 200mm focal length at 1" and in many cases slower! It's just amazing in order to rack the zoom right out to the comparative of 504mm, and throw at 1/60", even 1/30", and know you can aquire the shot. Just striking. IT WORKS. It's superb in macro mode, very. Although undoubtedly there are better digital superzoom fill cameras out there in the marketplace, I seriously doubt if any come close to the S1800 in terms connected with value. The camera is inexpensive, well-made, handles well, and is fun to work with. It's a nice machine. Oh, one caveat - it's really fussy about the memory cards it will take - SanDisk and Fuji SDHC credit cards are recommended. The cards MUST BE CLASS 6 TO WORK WITH THIS CAMERA! Do not try to use a regular SD cards, or anything less over a Class 6 card. I purchased an 8GB Fujifilms SDHC card for around $30 that gives us over 1, 700 shots with the S1800's largest, best image quality - i could live with that.
