My Review for Nikon Coolpix L110 Digital Camera
Nikon Coolpix L110 is an awesome point and shoot camera. I bough it because I wanted something that would take good quality photos but easily put in into my handbag whilst on vacation. My DSLR and lenses are a little big to be travelling around all day.
When I found the Nikon Coolpix L110 was just being launch I decided to give it a try and I am impressed. This is a tidy digital camera. I've read some reviews where some people are dissatisfy that there aren't any manual settings, but the many preset features are very good for just about all situations.
One feature that I really love is the smart portrait setting - the Coolpix L110 will automatically shoot the object when it detects a smile. This feature helped me get some of the great photos. When I was using on plain auto mode I missed the smile every time :-. Theres also a feature that will let me know if someone blinked with a pop up on screen warning.
As for digital zoom, i don't really like it on any camera so chances are I won't use it except at necessary condition. But, I did try it out and found that using the full zoom capabilities you can get a pretty impressive photo of far object like mountain and lanscape. I did use a tripod though, because at that power zoom my camera shake was so badly. But it could be just me, I don't have the good steadiest of hands.
Nikon Coolpix L110 isn't the alter of a stand alone video camera so don't expect perfect results & you will not win any Academy Awards for cinematography 
. Oh and the mic isn't ideally placed, but thats likely to decrease the recording of the lens movement when zooming.
All in all Nikon Coolpix L110 is a great point and shoot digital camera and I didn't really find any real cons to it. And its compact enough to carry or slipped into a handbag, although isn't a "pocket digital camera". And for battery life, you just need using either the optional recommended Nikon rechargeables, you'd get much longer life with Lithium and of course rechargeable NiMH batteries would probably be the best long-term for the money, or the included energizer ultimates you would be satisfied.
